The categories of information that we collect, hold and share include: • Personal information: name, address, email address, telephone number • Donations: value and date of donations received from individual donors • Gift Aid declarations
Why we collect and use this information We use the data:
to distribute our newsletter by email or post
to collect donations
to prepare accounts and claim Gift Aid from HMRC
to sell tickets for fundraising events
The lawful basis on which we use this information We collect and use Gift Aid information as required by HMRC. We send e-mail communications/newsletters to individuals who have consented to receive them.
Collecting information Data is provided to us on a voluntary basis
Storing data We use computer systems to hold data securely as required by the GDPR.
How long we keep your data We hold Gift Aid and accounting data for 6 years (and possibly longer) after the financial year to which they relate.
If you have consented to receive e-mail communications from us we hold your e-mail contact details until your newsletter request is cancelled.
Who we share information with We do not share personal information with any person or organisation except our Independent Examiner (for review of our accounts), HMRC (for Gift Aid) and MailChimp (newsletter distribution). We use MailChimp as our marketing automation platform. E-mail contact details will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with (https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/) and (https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/)
